ABOUT THE WORK:

Fireflies is a space dependent installation that works with the conflict between keeping beauty for yourself or sharing it with the world and risk seeing it ruined. 

The towers grows where they are interesting. They form curious and fragile columns that hides in dim light. The bells call you close. The piercing sound is inviting your touch. They want you to explore them. They let themselves be killed by your hand.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Miriam Ståhlgren is a material-based artist from the west coast of Sweden. The beauty and melancholy of the Bohus landscape and folklore are recurring themes in her work.
